- 1). Click the "Start" button, select "Computer" to open Windows Explorer and locate the image file.
- 2). Insert a blank DVD or CD into your drive. You can easily tell which is required by the file size. Image sizes around 700 MB or less should be burned to a CD. Images between 700 MB and 4.36 GB should be burned to a DVD. Images between 4.36 GB and 8.5 GB require a DVD-DL, which is a "dual layer" DVD. Images are not usually larger than that, but there are some Blu-Ray images that are nearing that upper limit.
- 3). Right-click the .iso image file and select "Burn disc image." If you have another program associated with image burning, this option may not be available. In that case, either use your associated program or choose "Open with" and then select "Windows Disk Image Burner."
- 4). Check "Verify disc after burning." This will run a test after your CD/DVD has been burned to verify that everything was burned successfully.
- 5). Click "Burn" to burn your ISO image file.
