- 1). Enter what you think the code is until the phone displays "SIM Locked." When this displays on the screen, the phone will no longer accept a password.
- 2). Contact your service provider and ask them to supply you with the PUK code for your SIM card. The code removes your old password from the phone.
- 3). Enter the PUK code into the Motorola phone.
- 4). Enter the new password to lock your SIM card once prompted by the phone. The device asks you to reenter the code a second time to ensure accuracy. Enter the code. This is the new unlock code for your Motorola.
