BCCPL was founded by the promoters of Sakshi Telugu Daily & Sakshi TV, under the chairmanship of Smt. Y.S. Bharathi Reddy and professionals with wide experience in Power, Cement, Infrastructure and Aggregates. Â BCCPL delivers a production capacity of over 5 Million Tonnes per annum with an ultra-modern manufacturing facility located at Nallalingayapalli, in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, and marketing its cement under brand name of "BHARATHI CEMENT" since 2009.
As a part of its forward integration strategy, formed two subsidiary businesses, namely Bharathi Polymers (Laminated PP bag manufacturing unit) and Mines & Rock Pvt. Ltd (Aggregates division).

The legends passage to the summit of global cement history commenced way back in 1817 with Louis Vicat the founding father of the group inventing artificial cement. It was in 1853 his son Joseph Vicat built the first cement factory.
Today, Company has operations in 11 countries with more than 30 million tons cement capacity (France, US, Turkey, Senegal, Switzerland, Egypt, Italy, Mali, Kazakhstan, Mauretania and India). Nearly 7,700 employee's across globe work together to serve the Group's numerous global clients. The following decades saw multifold diversifications and commissioning of many plants thus making Vicat a worldwide major and formation of a 150 year old unmatched legacy – unfolding of world cement industry itself.

Markus Oberle, was appointed as CEO on the board of BCCPL effective from 8th February'2014. He holds position of Chief Executive Officer for Indian operations of Vicat Group in India. He has re-joined Vicat in India business after his first tenure closing on Decemeber'2012.
Markus, an economist holds 36 years of wide experience in key managerial & Administrative functions in industries like Construction Materials, Food & Consulting. He started his career in 1978 with Arthur Andersen as an Auditor and Consultant located in Switzerland and US. During 1984-86 he has worked as Financial Controller with Swiss Food Multinational.
Prior to joining, Vicat group in 2004, Markus has served HOLCIM Group for 16 years since 1987 in different capacities. Markus has global leadership exposure and have worked as country head in Germany, Belgium, France, The Netherlands and CIS-countries (Moscow). In 2004, he has been appointed as CEO for Vigier Switzerland, a subsidiary of Vicat-Group having activities in field of Cement, Ready-Mixed Concrete, Aggregates, Precast and Waste Management.
In a career that spans over almost three decades, Markus possess strong skills in finance & business operations focused on improving productivity and bringing synergies in various business functions. He is recognized for his dynamic leadership and vision for the business. Under his leadership, various businesses have witnessed significant turnaround in its profitability.
In 2010, he has been appointed as Country Head for VICAT subsidiaries operations in India and also appointed as Managing Director for BCCPL. After serving his tenure in India he has been appointed as Board of Directors for Vigier Switzerland and served till January'2014.
Markus is widely recognized for his strong business acumen, people friendly nature, decision making ability and spirit of team building. His dynamic leadership and strong business knowledge partnered with depth understanding of India, its culture and people make him a successful business leader in India.
