- 1). Place the salt in a bowl. For finer glittery sparkles, first crush the salt crystals using a pestle and mortar.
- 2). Add a drop of food coloring to the salt crystals and stir them with a spoon until all the salt crystals are coated.
- 3). Spread the salt crystals out on a baking sheet and place them in an oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees.
- 4). Bake for 10 minutes, then leave to cool.
- 5). Store the colored glitter sparkles in an airtight container.
- 1). Place a piece of lametta or tinsel on a large wooden chopping board.
- 2). Use an herb chopper to cut the lametta into tiny pieces. Herb choppers use a rocking action to chop finely; you will not be able to achieve the same results with a knife.
- 3). Scrape the lametta sparkles into a jar for storage until they are needed in your next craft project.
