Subramanya is a beautiful village located in the sulia taluk in Karnataka. Every year, large numbers of devotees visit this place. Kumara parvatha is the center of tourist attraction. The peak is about 13 kilometers away from the temple.
Dakshina Kannada and kodagu share their boundary with the peak. You could easily see kodagu, standing on top of the peak.
There are some norms and regulations to be followed at this place. To keep the hill spick and span the Government has put these regulations.
You cannot throw the garbage on the streets and spoil the beauty of the place.
Hence, according to the orders from the government, you need to carry the trash in a polybag and throw them off in the garbage cans.
Trekking is very common here. The trekkers start the hike from a small town, known as kukke subramanya. It is about 230 kilometers away from Bangalore. You can find many great temples dedicated to snakes like cobra here. Besides this, the place is rich in densely populated forests.
During trekking, people have to walk for around two hours to pass through a densely covered forest. You might find leeches and snakes on your way.
After some distance, there are arrangements made for refreshments. You would be charged 60 to 70 Rupees. At the final level, you need to cross brooks and bushes. This takes about thirty minutes. Finally, you can see a stone temple at the summit.

From the top of the mountain, you could see forests with myriad trees, agricultural fields of south canara, estates of coorg in the south east, plains of Mysore clad in green in the north east and western Ghats and many other beautiful locations.

Shesha parvatha is near to kumara parvatha. Girimutt is a very popular place there. You could find a large mantapa of stone. It is about sixteen feet in length and eight feet in breadth. From this location, it is very difficult to continue the trek on shesha parvatha because the trekking part becomes very steep and rises almost like a vertical wall.

You can reach this beautiful place through various modes of transport. If you are residing quite far away from the location, you can travel by air to any of the major cities in Karnataka. From there, you can hire a bus or a taxi.
