Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Prepare your filling. Depending on the muffins you're making, this could involve cutting sausage into bite-size pieces, blending cream cheese with snipped chives or simply opening a jar of raspberry jam.
2
Mix your dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir together wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
3
Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour the wet mixture into the dry, stirring until the batter is well-combined.
4
Grease your muffin tin.
5
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or the time specified on your standard muffin recipe.
6
Fill each of the muffin cavities 1/3 to 1/2 full of batter.
7
Set a spoonful or piece of your filling at the center of the batter. Make sure less solid items like cream cheese or jam are ball-shaped rather than spread over the entire surface of the wet batter.
8
Pour the rest of the batter into the muffin tin, until each cavity is filled about two-thirds or slightly above.
9
Bake for about 20 minutes before inserting a toothpick into the center of the muffin. If it comes out clean, remove the muffin tin from the oven.
10
Remove the muffins from the tin and let cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
