Within 30 miles of Rome, Georgia are All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trails that offer outdoor entertainment at low prices. One riding facility, Highland Park Resort, was created just for ATV and motocross riders. It is a 1,000-acre facility that offers a variety of terrain. Two other ATV trails about 30 miles from Rome in Chatsworth offer ATV trails for a $5 daily fee. - Highland Park Resort, located about 10 miles from Rome in Cedartown, offers 31 one-way trails for increased riding safety. Highland Park Resort features 70 miles of riding trails that vary in difficulty, from beginner to expert. The resort also offers young ATV and motorcycle riders a PeeWee Track. Trail maps are available at the Highland Park Resort lodge. Daily weekend riding rates are $25 for men, $20 for women and $15 for ages nine through 15. Children under eight are free with a paid adult.

highlandparkresort.com - Houston Valley Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Trails is located about 30 miles east of Rome in Chatsworth and is part of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. Houston Valley OHV Trails offers ATV riders almost 25 miles of riding for $5 per day or $50 per year. There are no official camping areas near the riding trails, but there are restroom facilities. The trails are closed from January 1 through March 31 each year. The loading and unloading area for the trails, which can accommodate up to 35 vehicles and trailers, is located off Houston Valley Road in Chatsworth.

The two trails, which are part of the Oconee National Forest, have more than 10 miles of ATV riding trails. There are no daily riding fees for either trail. The Rock Creek trail is 4.7 miles long, while the Tatum Lead trail runs for 5.5 miles. Rock Creek and Tatum Lead trails are open year-round. The loading and unloading area for the riding trails is located on Peeples Lake Road in Chatsworth.
