- 1). Launch the Firefox web browser on your computer. Click "Start," then select "Programs" and "Firefox" from the list. If you do not have Firefox on your computer you will need to download it. Go to mozilla.com, and click the "Download Firefox - Free" button, which is prominently displayed on the Mozilla home page to download the Firefox web browser. When the program has finished downloading, double click the Firefox installer icon on your desktop. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. Check the box to "Launch Firefox" and click "Finish."
- 2). Navigate to the web page containing the SWF file you want to download. Right click a blank or empty spot on the page. Select "View Page Info" from the pop-up list. A "Page Info" window will appear.
- 3). Click the "Media" tab and scroll down the list until you get to the SWF file. Select the file to highlight it and click "Save As." The "Save Image" window will appear.
- 4). Select the folder on your hard drive to which you want to save the file. For example, select "Desktop" to save the file to your desktop folder.
- 5). Type the name you would like to give the file in the File name bar of the Save Image window. Check to make sure ".swf" shows in the "Save as type" drop-down list. If it does not, click to select it
- 6). Click "Save" to save the file in your chosen location.
