Joined by other professionals in the aviation field to deepen our knowledge and discussion on important aviation matters, we at M&N Aviation chose to support and attend the first annual Wyoming Aviation Conference, which took place in Little America Cheyenne from September 10th to 12th, 2009. Lectures covered such areas as, "Department of Environmental Quality: Aviation Fuel Tank Requirements", "Expanding Wyoming's Aviation Industry", "Safety Management Systems", "Creating an Improved Understanding of Pre-Flight Weather" and "Mountain Flying".
The keynote speaker, Rod Machado, gave us all a humorous and educational look into the complex world of aviation. In addition to Rod, we got the opportunity to listen to Dennis Byrne, Cheyenney Mayor Rick Kaysen, Chairman Vince Tomassi, John Cox, Kathryn Vernon, Richard Tashner, Mike Schulte, Tim Hu, Stan Skrabut, and Bill Hamilton.
As part of the sponsorship giveaways from the many sponsors, tickets to the September 12th Wyoming Cowboys-University of Texas Longhorns game were raffled away. In addition to getting tickets for this raffle, contestants were about to get their punch card at an information table in the vendor area.
Because of the nature of event, as well as the timing, during the opening session on Friday, September 11th, we participated in a 9/11 Observance time.
Between the wide variety of lecture topics available, the wide spread of featured speakers, and the strong sponsorship of companies like M&N, this conference was a great success!
If you were able to attend the conference and still have a program, please see page five for a quick look at M&N Aviation.
