- 1). Make sure the box can hold about 10 pounds.
- 2). Pour packing peanuts into the bottom of the box. This layer should rise to between 1/8 to 1/4 of the box.
- 3). Wrap each piece of china in newspaper.
- 4). Wrap each piece with bubble wrap.
- 5). Place the largest plates on the bottom of the box. Place the smaller plates in the box. Put the cups in last.
- 6). Pour packing peanuts over the top of the china. The packing peanuts should fill the remaining space so that the china cannot easily move.
- 7). Close the box. Seal it with packing tape.
- 8). List the contents, such as "fine china" or "china," on the box. Mark the box "fragile" and note "this end up" in the proper direction.
