- 1). Lay the left hand index finger down across all six strings on the eleventh fret. Once all of the left-hand fingers are in place, the index finger will play three notes. The root, D#, on the sixth and first strings, and the fifth, A#, on the second string.
- 2). Position the left hand ring finger on the thirteenth fret of the fifth string which is the note A#, the fifth of the chord.
- 3). Place the left hand pinky finger on the thirteenth fret of the fourth string. This is the note D#, the root of the chord.
- 4). Position the left hand middle finger on the twelfth fret of the third string to produce the note FX (G), which is the third of the chord.

Strum all six strings to sound the 6 string D# chord for guitar.
