Hello Andhra : Telangana heat struck to the Maro Praja Prasthanam walkathon of YS Jagan's sister Sharmila. Her walk continued in Nalgonda district on Friday evening. When she was in Mukundapur of Nagarjunasagar constituency some Telangana protestors tried to block her way.
When Sharmila was speaking from her vehicle to the public Telangana protestors circled the place sloganing Jai Telangana. Tension prevailed at the location for some time. The place was full of slogans demanding Sharmila to give a statement on Telangana with a clarity.
Sharmila's tour will continue on Saturday in Tripuraram and Miryalaguda mandals. Later she would continue in Tungapadu, Srinivasa Nagar, venkatadripalem and Durganagar of Miryalaguda mandal.
YSR Congress leader Sharmila on Saturday promised that if her brother and party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy is voted to power, the new government would complete the Srisailam tunnel project and provide safe drinking water to all fluoride-hit villages in the district.
Addressing road-side meetings in Marriguda mandal, on the second day of her 'Maropraja Prasthanam Praja Yatra', she claimed that while Telugu Desam leader N. Chandrababu Naidu made available only Rs. 9 crore for providing water to the flouride victims, the YSR Government had released Rs.375 crore. If YSR was alive he would have ensured water supply to all the affected villages, she said.
Ms. Sharmila said while the YSR dispensation had extended all benefits to farmers and students, the Kiran Kumar Reddy government not only cut down the welfare measures but burdened the people with higher power tariff, taxes and failing to control prices.
She accused both the TDP and the Congress of colluding to put her brother in jail for alleged corruption. She sought people's support for YSRCP if their lot was to improve. Senior YSRCP leader M.V. Mysoora Reddy accompanied her during the padayatra which entered the second day in the district.
The YSR sibling, who has so far walked over 859 km, will cover 132 km in the district, touching Devarakonda (seven km), Munugode (39.5 km), Nalgonda (24 km), Nagarjunasagar (33 km) and Miryalaguda (33.5 km).

Ms. Sharmila, who has so far walked over 859 km, will cover 123 km in Nalgonda district
Y.S. Sharmila interacted with women at Tirugandla Palle in Nalgonda district on Saturday and instilled confidence among them on finding solutions to various issues confronting them. Continuing the Rachchabanda programme for the fourth consecutive day after restarting her Maro Praja Prasthanam Padayatra on Feb 6.
The spotlight of today's Rachchabanda was the meance of fluorosis plaguing the people with heavy fluoride content in drinking water. She advised them to campaign over the drinking water pollution and fluoride problems over TV channels and in the newspapers.
"Don't lose heart as all your problems will be solved once Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy becomes the CM. He will also complete the Dindi Lift Irrigation Scheme to provide a permanent solution to your drinking water problem," she told the women.
The women listed out their problems saying that they are getting monthly power bills of around Rs.300 for a single bulb besides undergoing financial misery due to hefty increase in prices of essential commodities.
YSR Congress party leader, Sharmila slammed the TDP saying Naidu had turned her knee surgery into a political issue. Addressing a gathering at Devarakonda after her padayatara yesterday, during her 'Maro Praja Prasthanam' padayatra she posed a challenge to the TDP over their comments to her knee surgery issue.
