How to Use Vitamin C for Skin Care

    • 1). Eating fruits rich in vitamin C. Fruits in general are rich in antioxidants. For those who are looking to improve the look of their skin, then eat fruits. Fruits should be apart of your everyday diet. Instead of salty snacks, eating fruits rich in vitamin C should be your goal. For fruits high in vitamin C, try rose hip extract. Contains over 1000 milligram. Other fruits very high in vitamin C are blackcurrant, guava, strawberries, lemon, orange, kiwi fruit, clementine, grapefruit, raspberries, cantaloupe, lychees, nectarines, peaches and mangoes. All these fruits contain higher than 30 milligrams of vitamin C.

    • 2). Eating vegetables rich in vitamin C. Vegetables are also an excellent source for vitamin C. Not quite as rich as fruits, however, still a good source. Anytime you're making dinner, it's best to have a vegetable side dish. Peppers are extremely rich in vitamin C. Contains over 70 milligrams. Other vegetables are spring greens, brussels sprouts, broccoli, curly kale, gourd, mange-tout peas, cauliflower, tomato, mustard greens, asparagus, cucumber and green cabbage.

    • 3). Eating herbs and spices that contain a high amount of vitamin C. You can find a good amount of vitamin C in the herbs and spices that you eat. Fo those who are trying to diet, a lot of times you'll find foods that lack taste in what you eat. However, herbs and spices help you enjoy the taste of foods, while gaining the health benefits. Herbs and spices that are rich in vitamin C are oregano, chili pepper, basil, cayenne pepper, cloves, fennel, and parsley.

    • 4). Use vitamin C skin creams. Check with your dermatologist first. Some creams may work, and some cream may not be effective. Depends on other ingredients used in these creams. I think to get the best natural skin look, you need to do it naturally. By not smoking, or drinking a lot. Eating foods rich in vitamins like vitamin C for instance. Also try taking vitamin C supplements. Good diet will go along way to help prevent anti-aging, along with giving you an overall healthier living style.
