Ten Menu Items That Will Help You Get a Flat Stomach

Many people say they want to attain a flatter stomach, but don't go about it the right way.
Three of the most important things that go into having a flat stomach are diet, exercise and genetics.
If you weren't blessed with the engineering to make the latter work well in your favor, then you really need to focus on the exercise and diet part.
Either way, diet and exercise are the keys.
When it comes to diet, many people just don't take the time to plan out the healthiest options for themselves.
I'll save you some time today with a list of 10 food and drinks you should have on your menu to help flatten your stomach and keep it that way: * Oatmeal - Choose a natural oatmeal and enjoy a good breakfast that's loaded with fiber and will help you feel full well into the day.
Sweeten it with natural fruit, not artificial additives.
* Plain yogurt - Another healthy breakfast choice and great source of calcium.
Mix in fruit if you like.
* Drink plenty of water - Get started first thing in the morning toward your daily goal of drinking 6-8 glasses of water.
* Drink Tea - Tea is one of the most underrated beverages you can have.
It's rich in antioxidants and drinking tea before working out can increase fat burning and speed up metabolism.
* Monounsaturated Fats - Include olive oil, avocados and nuts to help your overall health and also help keep a flat stomach.
* Grapefruit - Great source of vitamin C * Whole grain bread - Always choose whole grain bread over white bread.
Be careful as some breads advertised as "wheat" are not whole grain.
* Vegetables - They are loaded with vitamins and minerals that are not only healthy, but will help keep your waistline down.
They are high in fiber and low in calories.
* Salad - Salads are great, but pick low-fat dressings and go with leafy green lettuce or spinach instead of Iceberg lettuce, which has very little fiber.
* Lean meats - Protein is very important, but you want to get it in part from eating lean meats: fish, shellfish, chicken without the skin, and limit red meat.
