Perhaps you've run out of ideas for your husband for Valentine's Day. Or maybe you're looking for something more creative than a traditional gift. Using resources you already have at home, you can make a Valentine's Day sign for your husband that expresses your love. Whether that sign illustrates your love with photos or words or guides him to your Valentine's Day surprise, your husband will appreciate your effort in creating such a unique expression of love. - Using a large piece of poster board, create a sign that displays all the reasons you love your husband. Rather than simply writing a list, make a collage with photos from your marriage, images from newspapers and magazines and cut-out words and letters. For example, if you love his sense of adventure, include a photo of your husband skydiving or jet skiing. If you love that he's romantic, include a pressed flower that he gave you. You might say "I love you" to your husband every day, but he will appreciate seeing all the reasons why you love him.
- To celebrate Valentine's Day, create a romantic surprise for your husband when he gets home from work. Whether you choose to make a romantic dinner, rent his favorite DVD and curl up on the couch to watch it or draw a bubble bath with candles and chocolate-covered strawberries, you can use a Valentine's sign to lure him in. Creative signs can guide your husband to his Valentine's Day surprise. On the front door, include a "Happy Valentine's Day" sign. Then, include smaller signs throughout the house that lead him to his surprise. For example, if you have a romantic dinner set up in the dining room, include small red signs with arrows, guiding him to "Walk this Way." By following the signs, your husband will find you waiting with your Valentine's Day surprise.
- Write your sentiments down for your husband to see. You can create a supersized love letter on poster board that tells your husband just how you feel. Compose a romantic letter reflecting on your marriage and looking ahead to your future. Decorate the letter with hearts and photos of you two, and surprise your husband on Valentine's Day.
- If you have children, enlist their help to create a Valentine's Day sign for your husband. Title the sign "We Love You, Dad!" and have each child draw an image of Dad. Let your kids get creative with this project. They can decorate the sign with their favorite pictures or draw their favorite activity with their dad. With kids, anything goes, so let them use their imagination to wish their father a happy Valentine's Day.
