- 1). Paint four walls a soft yet hot pink. This will serve as a foundation for the remainder of the room. If you are painting a room that has less natural light or hardly any natural light, choose a lighter shade of hot pink rather than a darker shade. Or opt for the bolder look and paint one or more walls in a zebra pattern. Use stencils to create the pattern.
- 2). Upholster your chairs by covering each chair in zebra print fabric. Consider your artwork next; artwork is another way of incorporating the bold zebra print into your dining room. Frame photographs in white and black wooden frames, or make your own art by covering a rectangular piece of wood or stretching a canvas with zebra print fabric and place it on a pink wall; however, if the room is on zebra print overload, cover the wood or canvas with a textured hot pink fabric and place it on the zebra accent wall instead. Working with these two bold design choices (hot pink and zebra) is about creating contrast.
- 3). Incorporate your dining room colors and style through your lampshades and other textiles such as tablecloths, curtains and linens. Although pink and zebra are your primary color and print, consider white curtains with a zebra topper. This will add some basic neutral color to your room. Use zebra print napkins and a hot pink and white tablecloth.
- 4). Place a simple silver mirror on one wall. The mirror will add sparkle and shine to the room and also balance out the busier hot pink and zebra style present elsewhere in the room. Give the room final polish by adding stainless steel, silver trim or white porcelain vases, picture frames and diningware.
