- 1). Greet the customer as she walks through the door, taking care to call her by name if she is a regular.
- 2). Engage in jovial small talk. This creates an atmosphere that is homey and inviting.
- 3). Ask the customer what she would like to drink. Offer suggestions or a bar menu if she seems to be searching for options.
- 4). Exercise your memory by remembering what each client orders; be able to provide refills without being refreshed on what she drank.
- 5). Ask clients questions about themselves. Keep abreast on current events and sports schedules. Create an atmosphere that makes your clients want to return to see not just anybody, but you.
- 1). Line up the glasses on the bar. If everyone in the group ordered the same drink, such as shots or martinis, line the glasses up so that the pour will be in plain view of the clients.
- 2). In a pint glass, muttle any fresh herbs or fruit needed for your drink.
- 3). Mix the drinks in clear view. Be generous on the alcohol pour.
- 4). Use the shaker to combine the ingredients with ice to chill. As a crowd-pleaser, break out any cool shaker moves if you have them.
- 5). Pour the mixture through a strainer and into the lined-up glasses, taking care to pour an equal amount into each glass.
- 6). Add the finishing touch to the drinks with a garnish. (Ask the customer if she prefers a different garnish other than the one recommended for her drink.)
