    4.3-Liter

    • The 4.3-liter V-6 is the base engine in the 1998 Chevy Van. This is a gasoline engine and it produced 200 horsepower at 4,600 rpm and 260 foot-pounds of torque at 2,800 rpm.

    5.7-Liter

    • The 5.7-liter is one of the V-8 gasoline-powered engines. This 350-cubic-inch engine produced 245 to 250 horsepower and 330 to 340 foot-pounds of torque, depending on options selected.

    6.5-Liter

    • The 6.5-liter engine is another V-8, but this one is powered by diesel fuel. This engine produced 190 horsepower at 3,400 rpm and 385 foot-pounds of torque at 1,800 rpm.

    7.4-Liter

    • The 7.4-liter engine is another gasoline-powered V-8 engine, as well as the largest V-8 engine available in the 1998 Chevy Van. This 454-cubic-inch engine produced 290 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 410 foot-pounds of torque at 3,200 rpm.
