- 1). Press the fastening tab at the top of the back cover of the SCH-U450, then lift the back cover off of the device.
- 2). Insert the battery into the battery compartment, aligning the gold contacts on the battery with the gold contacts inside the battery compartment. Replace the back cover on the SCH-U450.
- 3). Plug the charger adaptor cable into the "Power" port at the bottom of the SCH-U450, plug the other end of the cable into a wall outlet. The Battery Charge indicator will automatically appear on the SCH-U450 display. When the indicator shows a full charge on the battery, remove the charger adaptor from the device and the wall outlet.
- 4). Press and hold the "Power" button for two seconds to turn the SCH-U450 on.
- 5). Enter a phone number into the phone keypad and press the "Phone" button to make an outgoing call. Press the "End" button to end the call.
- 6). Press the "Phone" button to answer an incoming call.
- 7). Take a picture by pressing the camera key on the right side of the phone. Select "Take a picture" from the menu that appears. Frame your picture in the display and press "Take." Choose "Save" or "Erase."
