Scholarships for High School Students With 2.20 GPA

    Athletic Scholarships

    • Athletic scholarships focus on the student's excellence in a sport. The criteria focuses little on academic grades, but emphasizes the applicant's skill, success and expertise in a particular type of sport. National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) universities, colleges and schools give athletic scholarships to two percent of the 6.4 million students playing sports.

    Artistic or Creative Scholarships

    • Students with a GPA of 2.2 who have artistic and creative skills may also be eligible to receive a scholarship. Applicants must submit a portfolio highlighting their best achievements in the field of art, music or dance. The Harlequin Floors sponsors the American Harlequin Dance Scholarship. The group distributes $25,000 worth of scholarships to at least 20 students. The David Letterman Scholarship, established by David Letterman in 1985, provides scholarships for telecommunications students at Ball State University. Students with at least a 2.20 GPA and who are creative are usually considered eligible to receive this scholarship. The School of the Art Institute of Chicago offers the Merit Scholarship award for creative students.

    Alumni Grant Scholarship

    • Grant scholarships qualify students with a cumulative GPA of 2.20 for a free college education. Western Kentucky University has a variety of scholarships to these students including Tuition Incentive Program (TIP), Merit Scholarships, Departmental Scholarships and Alumni Grants. Freshmen, returning students and transfer students receive scholarships from community or junior colleges. Only applicants who meet the requirements can submit applications and documents. Deadlines vary based on the type of scholarship.

    Augusta Independent Schools Scholarships

    • Augusta Independent Schools give scholarships in various categories for students with average GPAs. Qualifications, application procedures, application dates and other requirements depend upon the type of scholarship the student chooses. The objective of Augusta Independent Schools is to develop self-sufficient, responsible and energetic students who will become future backbones of the Augusta community. The scholarships are intended to help achieve this objective.
