- 1). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2). Beat together in a bowl 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup pastry flour, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon milk until a smooth batter forms.
- 3). Spoon the batter into 4-inch circles on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving at least 1 inch of space on all sides of each cookie.
- 4). Bake the lace cookies for 12 to 15 minutes or until they begin to slightly brown at the edges.
- 5). Remove the pan from the oven and cool the cookies for one minute.
- 6). Turn a muffin tin upside down and spray the bottoms of the cups with cooking spray.
- 7). Lift each baked cookie from the sheet while it is still warm and pliable and drape it over a greased muffin cup. Repeat with the remaining cookies.
- 8). Cool the cookies to room temperature so they will harden to their cup shapes.
- 9). Lift the lace dessert cups from the muffin tin and turn them right side up for filling.
