- 1). Open Adobe 9 by double-clicking the "Adobe Reader" application icon on your desktop.
- 2). Open Adobe's preferences. Click "Edit" at the top of the window, then click "Preferences."
- 3). Open the internet preferences by clicking "Internet", which is located on the left side of the "Preferences" window.
- 4). Enable displaying of PDFs in web browser. Check the "Display PDF In Browser" box by clicking it, then click "OK."
- 1). Double click the "Adobe Reader" icon on your desktop to open Adobe 9.
- 2). Open the "Help" menu by clicking "Help" in the Adobe 9 window.
- 3). Perform a repair installation. Click "Repair Adobe Reader Installation" in the "Help" menu. Adobe Reader launches a Windows Installer dialog box, which automatically fixes the problems and closes itself.
- 1). Open Internet Explorer by double-clicking the "Internet Explorer" icon on your desktop.
- 2). Click the "Tools" menu, then click "Manage Add-ons."
- 3). View all add-ons. Click the box underneath "Show:", then click "All Add-ons."
- 4). Select the Adobe 9 plug-in. Click "Adobe PDF Reader" in the add-ons list.
- 5). Enable the plug-in. Click "Enable" at the bottom of the "Manage Add-ons" window if it is disabled.
- 1). Double click the "Mozilla Firefox" icon on your desktop to open it.
- 2). Click the "Tools" menu, then click "Add-ons."
- 3). Navigate to the "Plug-ins" section by clicking "Plug-ins" at the top of the "Add-ons" window.
- 4). Click "Adobe Acrobat" in the plug-ins window to select the Adobe 9 plug-in.
- 5). Enable the plug-in by clicking "Enable" if it is disabled.
