- 1). Sand all surfaces of your lumber with coarse grit sandpaper.
- 2). Set all four posts up on end in the four corners of your plywood sheet. The outside edges of the posts should be flush with the outside edges of the plywood. Glue in position and allow to dry.
- 3). Reinforce the posts with two finishing nails per post, driven through the plywood and into the ends of the posts. Position the nails near two opposite corners of the posts.
- 4). Further reinforce with one wood screw per post, driven through the plywood and into the ends of the posts. Position each screw 1/2 inch from either nearby edge, placing it approximately on center in the ends of the posts.
- 5). Repeat steps one through four to build additional shelves to stack.
