- 1). Remove the bolts which secure the seats to the frame of the Jeep with the socket set. Remove the seats and set aside.
- 2). Remove the carpet from the Jeep by lifting it up. It was designed for easy removal for cleaning purposes.
- 3). Clean the interior floor surface by vacuuming up any loose material then removing oil with the brake cleaner and rags.
- 4). Cut a piece of soundproofing material to roughly fit the rear of the Jeep. Spray the rear floor section with spray adhesive and lay the mat onto the adhesive. Use the wooden roller and your hands to contour the material to the shape of the floor.
- 5). Cut another section of material to place beside the last section and adhere to the floor in the same method. Continue repeating this process until the entire floor and wheel wheels are covered. Cut holes in the material for the seat and belt connections. The effectiveness of the material is determined by the tightness of your fit.
- 6). Replace the carpet in the Jeep over the soundproofing material. Bolt the seats back into their original position.
