- 1). Right-click the green Quick Heal icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen and then click "Open Quick Heal." Quick Heal runs a fast scan of the system memory and then opens on the desktop.
- 2). Click the "Update" button on the left side of the Quick Heal window. The button has a green arrow next to it. Alternatively, click the "Update Now" button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
- 3). Click the "Next" button in the Quick Update window to have Quick Heal check the Internet for updates and download them automatically.
- 4). Click the "Finish" button when the update process is complete to return to the Quick Heal window.
- 5). Check the date next to "Virus Database" at the bottom of the Quick Heal window. You should now see that the virus definitions have the current date.
