    Powertrain

    • The Dodge Durango comes equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine. A 4.7-liter V8 engine also is available. In the two higher trim levels, a third engine is available--the 5.7-liter V8 engine. The Durango's standard transmission is a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. A five-speed automatic transmission option is available on the lower two trim levels, and it is the standard transmission on the higher trim model.

    Comfort and Conveniences

    • The Dodge Durango offers a variety of features, including power sunroof, roof rack, front and rear air conditioning and high-quality AM/FM stereo with a CD player. A jack for an MP3 player is built in to the radio. The SLT and Limited trim levels are equipped with seat warmers. The three trim levels also are equipped with power seats and an adjustable headrests.

    Safety

    • The 2005 Dodge Durango is equipped with four-wheel anti-lock brakes, daytime running lights and driver-side and passenger-side airbags. The truck also is available with a panic alarm and side impact bars. All three trim levels are available with a center high mounted stop light for better visibility.

    • The 2005 Dodge Durango is 200.8 inches long, 74.3 inches high and 76 inches wide. The truck has a curb weight of 5,008 pounds and a wheelbase of 119 inches.

    Fuel Economy and Pricing

    • The fuel economy on the 2005 Dodge Durango is 14 miles per gallon in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. The only exception is the SLT, which gets 16 mpg in the city and 21 on the highway. The original retail price on the Dodge Durango ranged from $27,570 to $36,210.
