A dress-up game gives toddlers the chance to be the character they love—Tinkerbell. Visit department stores or thrift shops to look for costumes. Tinkerbell has fairy wings and wears a short green dress with a zigzag-cut bottom edges. Put some glitter makeup on the toddler to complete the Tinkerbell look. The boys can dress up as Peter Pan, Captain Hook, John or Michael. They are some of the other main characters in the story. To make the dress-up game even more fun, put on a fashion show. Ask the girls to play runway model.

You can play a coloring game during birthday parties or while at home on a rainy day. Coloring books allow toddlers to be creative and develop their hand-eye coordination. Buy coloring books that have Tinkerbell as the main character. Toddlers will enjoy coloring with crayons, watercolor or colored markers.

Puzzle games test children’s logic, problem-solving skills and pattern recognition. Since you are dealing with toddlers, choose a Tinkerbell puzzle game that involves bigger puzzle pieces so that it is easier for them to solve. One-year old toddlers may not be able to solve puzzle pieces yet so you can just ask them to look at you while you solve the puzzle for them.

Gather pictures of Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and other characters in the story. Tell the toddlers the Peter Pan story while showing them the picture of the characters. Ask the toddlers to fly like a fairy by waving their hands like a flying fairy. Form a circle and run around while “flying” like a fairy. Do this game while wearing fairy wings just like Tinkerbell’s.
