• UV coating is often seen on paper. Paper is coated with UV to mainly deepen the color of the print on the paper. Gloss is also a very common coating option. Most magazine papers are gloss coated. This enhances the quality of the paper and protects the color from fading away. Sometimes though, both UV and gloss are simultaneously used to coat paper.
