Losing Weight By Drinking Herbal Tea

A lot of people say that herbal tea can help you shed some extra pounds. This is true but no one should expect quick results. A lot of Chinese people are lean because they drink green tea since their childhood. In fact, their forefathers used to drink green tea as well. According to some studies, many Chinese people are able to control their weight with the help of green tea. You can use herbal tea to lose weight but it is important to choose the right tea and to drink it the right way.

Firstly, it is important to find a tea you enjoy. A lot of studies focus on green tea when it comes to weight loss but you can check out different kinds of herbal tea sample before you buy the big pack. You must find a tea that you enjoy because you don't want to sip on your tea and frown every time because you don't find it tasty. Don't consider your tea as a medicine that tastes terrible. Make sure you enjoy your tea every morning and evening. Some green teas are very strong in flavor and they can be unpleasant in taste. On the other hand, some others are very delightful. Go for a light flavored tea if you are a beginner.

Herbal tea is available in various flavors. The flavors range from spicy orange to jasmine. Most herbal teas are typically decaffeinated. They are an amazing late night treat. You can also have them between your meals.

Beware of the diet teas. They might taste similar to many black or herbal teas but they comprise of a laxative element. People who have bowel movement two times a day should not go for these teas. If you still want to have diet teas then have them in moderation. Read the label of the green tea you buy. If it has senna, aloe, agarwood, castor oil, rhubarb root or buckthorn then avoid buying it. Such a tea is not good for people with sensitive stomachs.

If you feel nausea or have diarrhea and abdominal cramps after drinking your tea then stop having it. Frequent vomiting and diarrhea can cause dehydration and even unconsciousness. According to some studies, any unsweetened and natural tea can promote weight loss. So, there is no need to forcibly drink diet tea. Most green teas are fat-blockers.

Don't drink too much green tea. One cup of green tea in the morning or at night is enough. It is important to create good tea drinking habits. In order to get the best weight loss results, you should haveoolong tea every single day. You can try sample packs of chamomile tea and oolong tea if you are a beginner. 

Make sure you never add milk, cream, sugar or honey to your green tea. Green tea is no longer beneficial when you add milk, honey or sugar to it. When you add milk to your tea, its fat-stomping ability deteriorates to a great extent. So, have plain chamomile tea to lose weight.
