They create obstacles from their own self doubt which they place in front of themselves at audition time. Its a small amount like that recent saying - if you set yourself up to fail then it doesnt hurt therefore a lot of when you do!

Before we tend to continue, but, I wish you to create me a promise. I dont care what you're auditioning for - and I strongly counsel you audition for as a lot of as possible because at the end of the day winning auditions may be a numbers game (more of that later).

Either you are going to DO what's required and turn up for your next audition ready to succeed and DOING things right otherwise youll just be wasting yours and your would be directors time and could as well stop reading currently!
