How to Easily Save A Large Amount Money Each Month

    • 1). Lower Energy Bills:
While this is getting more difficult to do with the what seems like a monthly price increase on electricity, there are a few steps that can be taken to lower, or at least steady, this bill. Two very simple ways are to adjust your thermostat by just a few degrees. Those few minor degrees can make a real difference on the amount of time your central air (furnace/ac) runs, which can be a significant savings.
Another option is to lower the setting on your hot water heater. A recommended temperature of 130 degrees is plenty hot enough to effectively kill germs, and save money.

    • 2). Groceries:
The simplest way to cut your grocery bill is by taking a list of needed items and sticking to it. Many of the extra money spent at the grocery store is on items that aren't needed. The only exception would be an unexpected sale on an item you buy regularly, and in that case, stock up. Coupons are another great way to save even more. Look for grocery coupons in your newspaper and online to save on items you must buy.
Also consider trying the lower priced store brand products, rather than the more expensive name brands. You will find that you are paying mostly for the nice packaging, not necessarily quality.

    • 3). Fuel:
The best way to save on fuel is to decide early in the week what trips you need to be making and try to take care of as many errands as possible when you go out to avoid making several trips throughout the week. Stock up on items that you tend to run out of that and find yourself leaving the house to get regularly.

    • 4). Cell Phone Bill:
The easiest way to save money here is to get your bill out as soon as it arrives and determine exactly what is included in your bill. Many times you will find that you are being billed for insurance or other small fees that you have not requested. Also, check your minute usage to determine if you could switch to a lower plan.

    • 5). There are many other ways to save money on simple, everyday items, by simply passing them up. Also, avoid impulse buying and using your credit card to further reduce your spending.
