- 1). Twist out the small retaining screw from the back of the remote transmitter with a Phillips screwdriver. Set the screw aside. Gently pry the transmitter apart with a fingernail.
- 2). Lift the battery from the smaller half of the transmitter and discard.
- 3). Make a note of the polarity markings on the battery compartment and push a new battery into place until it is fully seated.
- 4). Push both pieces of the remote transmitter back together until they snap into place.
- 5). Twist the retaining screw back in with a Phillips screwdriver. Test the operation of the transmitter.
- 1). Insert a flat blade screwdriver or the edge of a coin into the slot on the base of the remote.
- 2). Twist the screwdriver or coin until both halves of the remote come apart.
- 3). Pry the battery out of the remote with your fingernail and discard. Do not remove the grease from the battery compartment, as this aids in keeping the remote waterproof.
- 4). Check the battery diagram posted on the inside of the remote for the correct placement of the battery. Push a new battery into place.
- 5). Push the two halves of the remote together until they click. Test the operation of the remote.
