- 1). Click "Finder" and then click "Applications." Scroll through the list and then click "GarageBand."
- 2). Click "File" and then click "Open" to navigate to the song you want to EQ.
- 3). Double-click on the song header, where the title is displayed, to open the "Track Info" window.
- 4). Click "Edit" to display the Visual EQ window. Click on the drop-down menu above the waveform to select a preset such as "Hip Hop." Pick a preset that matches the song.
- 5). Click the drop-down menu and select "Manual" to alter the bands manually.
- 6). Click in one of the four band sections on the Visual EQ you want to edit such as "Bass." Hold the button down while dragging the mouse up or down to raise of lower the bass for the song. Drag the mouse left or right to alter available frequencies for the bass. "Low Mid," "High Mid," and "Treble" are operated in the same manner.
