In this crumbling economy Christmas is just around the corner.
Where do we pull these presents, Christmas dinner, parties, and decorations from? Where is the money to come from? Gasoline for the moment is now finally taking a dive, I hope it stays that way and never goes up again, we can not be sure how long this reprieve will last.
This year many of us will have to be very creative for our Christmas festivities.
A few suggestions are instead of one person footing the bill for the entire Christmas yearly feast, have other people bring specific dishes.
This way you will still have your big dinner and everyone will have helped provide for the dinner.
For a gift use whatever creative gift you have.
If you bake - bake.
If you sew - start sewing.
I would suggest something simple and useful.
If you are an artists start drawing.
If you are a writer start writing a poem, letter, article, or short story.
Make your gifts personal.
Start reviewing all your pictures either in the computer, in boxes or pictures books.
These can make great inexpensive gifts.
You can frame a picture which has a special meaning to you.
You can give a card with an IOU saying I will clean your house 1 time within the month.
I will wash your car.
I will weed your garden.
There is always something you can find to do for somebody else who will probably appreciate this gift more than a bottle of lotion.
This year is an exceptional year.
We need to be frugal.
We can do this without cutting out the fun, of family and the Christmas Spirit and Family Traditions.
Everybody is in the same boat.
You can learn to row together.
If you use your credit cards these cards have to be paid back - with interest.
Why not try and be creative for this wonderful holiday.
You may surprise yourself at how you have now gone another level in the survival of this unexpected financial disaster of a year.
