The Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program is operated through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This program has two main stages: in the first stage, funding is provided for a new building; in the second stage, funds are provided for existing buildings. Through the second stage, funds for asbestos remediation can be awarded.
