- 1). Purchase Microsoft Windows Vista. In order for this procedure to remain legal, you must have a separate copy of Vista to use for your PSP and nowhere else.
- 2). Plug your external UMD writer into a USB port. Put a blank UMD into the writer. Click "Show Files."
- 3). Place the Vista installation disc into your computer. Do not click "Autorun." Click "Show Files."
- 4). Copy the files in the CD/DVD window and paste it into the UMD window. Click "Write files."
- 5). Remove the UMD from the writer and place it into the PSP.
- 6). Power on the PSP. Follow the instructions onscreen.
