- 1). Insert your memory stick into your Sony PSP (if it is not already inserted).
- 2). Connect your Sony PSP to your computer via the MiniUSB cable that came with the unit. The "MiniUSB" end of the cable plugs into the "MiniUSB" port on your PSP, while the regular USB end of the cable plugs into a regular USB port on your computer.
- 3). Turn on your Sony PSP. Select "Settings." Select "USB Connection." Your PSP will now be in "USB connection" mode, and it will now be recognizable to your computer.
- 4). Click "Start" on your computer.
- 5). Click "Computer."
- 6). Open your Sony PSP icon in the "Computer" folder. Take the files you want to download to your PSP and drag them into this folder. Make sure the files are making it into their appropriate sub-folder. For example, if you have photos you're trying to download to your PSP they need to go into the "PSPPHOTO" sub-folder. Videos need to go into the "MP_ROOT0MNV01" sub-folder. Once this is finished, the files will be accessible via your Sony PSP's main menu system.
