- 1). Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease the cake pan with Baker's Joy to prevent sticking.
- 2). Add all of the ingredients to the bowl, but substitute milk for half of the amount of oil called. If the directions call for 1 cup of milk, add 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup vegetable oil.
- 3). Mix well, according to the directions on the box.
- 4). Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, tapping it lightly on the counter to get rid of air bubbles.
- 5). Bake according to directions. Before removing cake from the oven, test for doneness by inserting a bamboo skewer into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
- 6). Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
