  If you haven't been to Wichita, Kansas, recently, it might be time to go. There are several annual festivals that are promoted there, and if you are hankering to see the Midwest and have an RV to travel in, knowing where to stay and what the park has to offer is a big relief.
  
  

Blasi Campground

• Blasi Campground offers 110 full hookups, all on concrete pads. The campground also has a heated pool and a baby pool for the little ones; there is a tennis court, good fishing nearby, propane and Internet access available. There is only a limited grocery store, but there are tire services, and a laundry with washers and dryers. The office can supply a list of churches if requested, and nearby there are many activities including going to the Sedgwick County Zoo, the Old Cowtown Museum, the Indian Center Museum and the Old Town Market Place. There is also the Wichita Art Museum, the Lawrence Dumont Stadium and the Exploration Place.

K&R RV Park

• This RV park in Wichita has wide, paved streets, grassy lawns and many pleasant well-nurtured trees which offer ample shade for the hot afternoons. There is free Wi-Fi for and every site has full hookups. There is a laundry facility and 50-amp service. Mailboxes are available for those who are staying for an extended time. Concrete patios are available, and the camp is pet- and child-friendly; there is even a playground and basketball court. A phone is accessible and cable is as well via COX communication. Nearby places to visit include the Old Cowtown, the Exploration Place and Botanica. There is also the Wichita Art Museum, the Sedgwick County Zoo, and when it's time, there is the Wichita River Festival, Wichita Flight Festival and the Wichita Garden Show

Cheney State Park

• Cheney State Park is home to 29 miles of asphalt roads and parking areas. There is a park office and two marinas including six boat ramps with 22 launching lanes, four courtesy docks and two fish cleaning stations. For camping and RVs, there are 223 electrical hookups, each with water, more than 400 primitive camp sites and four trailer dump stations. Bathroom amenities include seven modern pit toilets, nine shower houses and one shelter with restrooms. There are two large group shelters, two medium group shelters, and 29 small picnic shelters. For group camping, there is one area with 20 utility sites, a large shelter and a restroom. Cheney Park has two nature trails. Additionally there are seven modern cabins. The park features 9,600 surface acres of water in the lake, and the park has 1,913 acres spanning three different counties.
