- While there have been few to no direct links between Crestor and impotence, researchers are split on whether statins can cause or actually fight impotence.
- Crestor has been linked to even more serious side effects, including kidney damage, organ failure, muscle toxicity and death. AstraZeneca recommends people with liver problems and pregnant women not take the medication. In addition, the Food and Drug Administration recommends that Asian patients in particular take lower dosages of Crestor, and that users report to their doctors immediately if they have muscle pain and weakness, dark urine, nausea or vomiting, as these symptoms could point to serious problems.
