- 1). Launch your Internet browser and go to the Media Convert website. The "Local File Conversion" tab will be pre-selected on the homepage.
- 2). Click on the "Browse" button alongside the "File" field. Browse for the ASX input file in the file selection window. Double-click the file and it will be uploaded to the online service. The "Input Format" pull-down menu will auto-populate with the corresponding selection, "Video Stream Descriptor (.asx)."
- 3). Leave "No Video Preset" selected in the first "Output Format" pull-down menu. Open the second pull-down menu and choose "Apple QuickTime (.mov)."
- 4). Click the "OK" button to start the file conversion. When the MOV output file is ready, the homepage will re-direct you to a download page. Click on the MOV file name and follow the directions in the "File Download" dialog box to store the video in a preferred location.
- 1). Launch Cinema Forge. Click the "Convert Media" button on the program home screen.
- 2). Click the "Input Folder" icon. Browse for the ASX input file in the file selection window. Double-click the file and it will be imported into the program.
- 3). Click "Output Folder" icon and a file saving window will appear. Target a saving location for the MOV output file and enter a file name. Click "OK"
- 4). Click the "Doc Type" icon and choose "QuickTime (mov)."
- 5). Click the "Convert" button to start the file conversion. The program will display a confirmation message when the MOV output file is available in its targeted saving location.
