- 1). Power down your Toshiba 2435 using the operating system's "Start" menu. Disconnect the AC power adapter as well as all of the external data and networking devices from the laptop. Remove the battery pack from your Toshiba as well.
- 2). Open the display panel as far as possible by prying the plastic LCD hinge cover from the laptop with a flat-head screwdriver. The hinge cover is the plastic strip situated between the keyboard and display panel assemblies.
- 3). Remove the two rubber screw seals in the lower right and left corners of the display panel's front cover. Remove the Phillips-head screws revealed by the screw seals. Carefully remove the front cover from the display assembly with your fingertips.
- 4). Remove the three Phillips-head screws from each side of the LCD screen. These screws fasten the screen to the metal frame inside the display panel.
- 5). Tilt the top of the screen forward. Disconnect the large ribbon cable from the connector on the back side of the screen.
- 6). Locate the inverter board near the bottom edge of the screen's back side. Disconnect the cables from each end of the board. Remove the two Phillips-head screws that are securing the inverter board in place. Remove the old inverter from the laptop.
- 7). Place the new inverter inside the empty slot on the back of the screen. Align the screw holes on the new inverter with the screw holes on the screen. Replace the two retaining Phillips-head screws, and then reconnect the cables to each end of the new inverter.
- 8). Reconnect the large ribbon cable to the connector on the screen's back side. Align the screws on each side of the screen with the screw holes inside the metal framing. Replace the Phillips-head screws that fasten the screen in place.
- 9). Place the front cover on top of the LCD screen. Press on the four corners of the cover until it snaps into place. Replace the two Phillips-head screws fastening the front cover to the display panel, and then replace their individual screw covers.

Replace the battery pack, and then reconnect all of the cables and devices to the laptop.
