Don't ask me why, but Think Tanks like to discuss politics now and again, perhaps it is a past time of intellectually engaged people? Not long ago, an interesting question was asked at a Think Tank, again do not ask me why, but it probably had something to do with the Presidential Election year and the massive amounts of money being spent in the media.
Anyway the question was; When Barrack Obama is elected to the office of President of the United States of America, will the United States be militarily challenged or tested by our enemies? Now realize the question was asked in a non-political Think Tank, but the members themselves are not non-political, some from all sides of the partisan politics of this election.
So, the question stands and ought to be debated.
Right now the United States is being tested and re-tested constantly, by rogue nations and former super powers around the globe.
There is no doubt that whoever is elected President, that they will in fact have to deal with a Nuclear Iran and Russian Advances, but surely that is not all.
And remember, this is a discussion not a scare tactic.
By all accounts it is obvious that Iran will not stop its nuclear uranium enrichment no matter who is elected.
And Iran's leader has promised to blow Israel off the map.
The Russians in Georgia are a perfect example of how things could start and escalate from there.
World War III could only be a few chess moves away.
Then in our own hemisphere we have issues with Venezuela and communism is on the rise and those leaders wish to challenge the US.
