- 1). Ask someone to help you move the dresser away from the wall. Move it far enough out so that you can get in behind it without touching the wall.
- 2). Locate the hardware fasteners on the back of the dresser mirror back. They will be secured by a slotted screw, a Phillips screw or a hex screw.
- 3). Remove the screws, turning them counterclockwise, with a flathead screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver or an Allen wrench.
- 4). Ask the lifting assistant to stand on one side of the dresser mirror back while you stand on the other. Lift it up at the same time to remove it from the dresser top.
