- 1). Cut a wooden dowel to the height needed for the miniature lamp post.
- 2). Create a hole by drilling through the center core of the dowel. The hole should be large enough to fit the wire cord from the lighting kit.
- 3). Add a notch on the bottom side edge of the dowel for the wire to go through. This way the post will be level when standing.
- 4). Add details to the lamp post, if desired, by carving.
- 5). Paint or stain the post the desired color.
- 6). Attach the light by threading the cord through the post and standing the bulb on top of the dowel.
