- 1). Remove the used Brita filter from your Brita pitcher.
- 2). Shake the excess water from your used Brita filter and wipe the water from the exterior of the cartridge with a cloth.
- 3). Set the filter aside on a dry cloth and wait approximately three days for the filter to dry out.
- 4). Wrap the filter in a plastic grocery bag.
- 5). Drop the wrapped filter off in a Preserve recycling bin at a designated drop-off location. Check Preserve's Gimme 5 website for locations (see Resources). You may also pack it in a shipping box and ground ship mail it to:
