- 1). Open your computer's "Start" menu and highlight "Programs."
- 2). Move the mouse over "Administrative Tools" and left-click on "Active Directory Users and Computers" from the menu.
- 3). Select "Properties" in the following menu.
- 4). Left-click on "New" to specify a new policy.
- 5). Type "Elevated Group Policy" as the policy name.
- 6). Select the "Elevated Group Policy" and then left-click on "Edit."
- 7). Open "Software Settings" from the "Computer Configuration" tab.
- 8). Right-click on the "Software Installation" option and select "New."
- 9). Input your UNC pathing to the shared WIN32 folder that contains the Symantec Antivirus MSI file into the dialogue box. The text should look similar to "\\<server name>VPHOME\CLT-INST\WIN32\Symantec AntiVirus.msi."

Open the "Symantec Antivirus.msi" file. - 11
Select "Assigned" and then left-click on "OK." - 12
Open the "Administrative Templates" option and select "Windows Components." - 13
Select the "Windows Installer." - 14
Navigate to the right-side pane and place a check next to "Always install with elevated privileges." - 15
Select "Enable." - 16
Left-click on "Apply" and then select "OK" when prompted. - 17
Close out all windows.
