And in this economy who doesn't need a little extra (or a lot of extra) cash in their pocket! Photography is a passion of a lot of people and if you're able to make money doing it then it's even better! Becoming a photographer requires passion, good equipment and a good eye for what makes a picture look great if you have all of those things you can make good money being a part time photographer.

Pro's -Doing something you love.
If you love photography then what could be better than getting paid to do it.
That is the best part for many photographers.
-Make good money for one days work.
You can shoot a wedding and come home with a lot of money in your pocket.
Many photographers only work on the weekends so that's a lot of money and they're only working 4-12 days a month.
-Easy to do part time.
You can work your photography business around your life.
If you only want to work on weekends or evenings you can do that.
If you don't want to work on holidays you can do that to.
It's really up to you and you don't have to work that many days a month to make it worth your while.
-A business that can grow with you.
A photography business can start out really small and really part time and grow into a full time money making machine.
So no matter what your goals are the business can grow with you.
Con's -Lots of competition.
There is a ton of competition in photography.
So depending on what kind of pictures you want to take you're going to have to find a way to make yourself stand out from everyone else.
-Must have the right equipment.
Having the right camera, lighting and editing software is very important.
So if you don't already have all that then you'll need to invest in the right equipment which can cost a lot of money up front.
-Art is subjective.
Photographer is art and everyone has their own ideas about what art is good and what isn't.
So it can be frustrating sometimes when people don't
