- 1). Cut six pieces of different-colored thin yarn, like embroidery thread. You want about 24 inches of each thread.
- 2). Arrange the yarn in the colored pattern you would like. Each piece of thread needs to be next to one other.
- 3). Tie a knot at the top of the strands to hold them all together.
- 4). Attach the bracelet to something, so that you are able to pull each knot tight with each weave. For example, put the knot of the bracelet into the clip of a clipboard or tape it to a flat surface.
- 5). Lay out your strings flat. From left to right, you will be working with string A, B, C, D, E and F.
- 6). Start creating your knots. You will be working with one strand at a time, until you go across all the remaining strands of color. You will always use the left-hand string as the one that will be doing the knotting.
- 7). Take A, bring it over B and under it, to create a knot. Pull A tight, then repeat the motion around B to create a double knot.
- 8). Move on to the next string. Take A and double knot it around C, then D, E and finally F. The ending string pattern, from left to right will be B, C, D, E, F and A.
- 9). Continue with string B, C, D, E, F and back to A again. Continue the knotting pattern until you have a bracelet long enough to go around your wrist.
