- 1). Click "Menu" on your Kindle and select "Settings." You should see a listing on the Settings screen called "Device E-mail." It might be on the second page. It will look like "name@kindle.com." This is the specific email address for your Kindle.
- 2). Open your email program on your computer and start a new email. You do not need to write a subject or compose body text for the email, unless required by your email service. Address the email to "name@free.kindle.com." Replace "name" with the name associated with your Kindle.
- 3). Attach the Word document you want on your Kindle to the email, then send it.
- 4). Wait approximately five minutes, then sync your Kindle.
